Dr. Kashif Irshad, MD, MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Irshad is Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at William Osler Health System.
He obtained his medical degree at McGill University, where he also completed his formal training in General Surgery. During his residency he completed his Masters of Science in Experimental Surgery.
He then trained in Thoracic Surgery at McMaster University, mentored by great Thoracic Surgeons, like Dr. John D Miller and Dr. Tom Kirby. He credits these two surgeons for teaching him the fundamentals of Thoracic Oncology and encouraging him to continually pursue excellence in surgery.
Dr. Mohammed Al Abdulmohsin, MD
Dr. Mohammed Al Abdulmohsin is a thoracic and general surgeon at William Osler Health System since 2014.
He completed his formal training in thoracic surgery and general surgery at McMaster University and has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since 2012. He holds a medical degree from Arabian Gulf University (AGU).
Dr. Anna Bendzsak, MD
Dr. Anna Bendzsak was recently recruited to join the Thoracic Surgery group at the William Osler Health System. She is looking forward to bringing her enthusiasm, training, and research interests to grow and expand the group in new directions.
Dr. Surinder Singh Basi, M.D
Dr. Surinder Singh Basi, M.D. is a Surgical Assistant with the Thoracic Surgery Department at Brampton Civic Hospital. He completed his medical training in India at the University of Delhi, which was followed by an internship at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto. Dr. Basi is a Family Physician and has been in practice since 1987. He is also a surgical assistant with the General Surgery Department at the Etobicoke General Hospital. Dr. Basi has a special interest in assisting Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgeries.
Juliet A., Phinn RN. BScN
Thoracic Nurse Navigator Juliet has been a nurse for over 16years and has experiences in emergency, PACU, nursing education, system navigation, case management and discharge planning. Juliet holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Health Care Education from Athabasca University. She is certified as a Nurse Navigator, having earned her Patient Navigation in Oncology from DeSouza Institute.
Dr. Ching Yeung
Dr. Ching Yeung is a Thoracic Surgeon with the William Osler Health System. She earned her medical doctorate at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She completed her General Surgery training at the University of Ottawa. She remained in Ottawa for her fellowship to study with the world-renowned Thoracic Surgery group at the University of Ottawa. She has received extensive training in both minimally invasive and open surgery.
Selma M.
Selma is the Clinical Care Coordinator for the Division of Thoracic Surgery at William Osler Health System.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry in 1989. She has a vast experience in running clinics in orthopedics, fertility, OB/Gyn.
